AMD is totally owning the HEDT cpu market right now and they just added another blow to Intel announcing the expected top model of the Threadripper line-up the Threadripper 3990X for release in 2020. A 64 core 128 threads behemoth of a cpu with 288MB of combined L2+L3 cache and a 280W TDP. We realize the Threadripper 3970X with 32 cores costs $ 1999,00 MSRP now, doubling the cores often more than doubles the price, but only for the lucky few. The slogan ‘One CPU to rule them all in 2020’ tells the whole story. Yes exciting times in CPU wonderland!
