De game is net goed en wel op de markt, de eerste pleisters worden alweer geplakt. Dat Homefront niet de score behaalde die we gehoopt hadden was inmiddels al duidelijk. Helaas gaat de game ook nog gebukt onder schoonheidsfoutjes, ook THQ heeft dat nu ingezien en de eerste patch is een feit.
Volgens de ontwikkelaar:
“We zijn actief bezig om alle gerapporteerde fouten en problemen aan te pakken,” zegt Kaos. In de nieuwe patch heeft de ontwikkelaar de capaciteit van de server verhoogd, wat een aantal connectieproblemen in de kiem moet smoren. Volgens Kaos is uit data gebleken dat de meerderheid van de Homefront-spelers echter geen last heeft van de problemen, maar het bedrijf heeft toch besloten een aantal problemen aan te pakken.

Is looking pretty robust right now. We released a small hotfix today to address a couple of minor issues, but you can expect a patch with full change-list in the near future as we identify and fix issues on the ever-fluid PC platform!
To report an issue on any format, we invite players to post in the Homefront forums which will allow us to identify and track your issues as fast as possible.
We want to stress that Homefront is one of a tiny handful of titles offering dedicated server support on console, and the infrastructure and networking code required to support this is much more complex and demanding than simple peer-to-peer matchmaking you see in most other FPS games. The pay-off is larger maps, more players, and an equal playing field for all – something we believe is critical for fair, balanced online FPS gameplay.
Every game that goes the extra mile to provide dedicated servers faces additional teething problems in the first few days as the kinks are ironed out, but please bear with us as we address these – the result will be worth it.
